I first heard this song by chance. I got in my car to grab something and caught the middle of it. I sat there, listening to the rest of the song with tears in my eyes the entire time. when i finally made it back inside my boyfriend asked what had taken me so long and what was wrong. I explained to him about the song i had just heard. this song hit home for me. i grew up the daughter of an army man and i remember those christmass when he was not home. my boyfriend is also a military man who just recently, in september, returned home from iraq. we are now expecting a child of our own and all i could think about is what it would be like if he were gone for another christmas, especially now with a child along the way. this song was AMAZING!!!

So sweet
by Mimsy(nickname)
This song has touched so many people, and will continue to as it is played. everyone in my family plays it over and over, and we cry every time. The video makes us cry so much more. This song will be a hit for years to come.

The Children
by Rebecca Sorrells
It's the children who don't understand why they are there..that broke my heart to hear that little girl sing that song. I have 4 grandchildren and could not imagine having to explain to them why their daddy is not home for Christmas. That ws sooo beautiful I sure hope she gets her Christmas wish. Rebecca Sorrells b5rockz@aol.com

Singalong
by Chuck
the lyrics on the singalong page are wrong so i fixed them: "Bring Him Home Santa" Dear Santa, I need to change my Christmas list There's one big thing I missed You see my Daddy's working far away from here And you know Santa, I asked for a Barbie doll And a brand new soccer ball But I'd trade it all, for just one gift this year... Bring him home Santa, bring him home to mom and me Let us wake up Christmas morning, and find him standing by our tree You can pick him up on your way, he could ride there in your sleigh Don't make him spend Christmas all alone Bring him home And Santa, here's a picture that I drew Of him in his dress blues Mama says our country needs him over there And you know Santa, this whole year I have been good And I was hopin' that you would Do all you could to answer her prayer... Bring him home Santa, bring him home to mom and me Let us wake up Christmas morning, and find him standing by our tree You can pick him up on your way, he could ride there in your sleigh Don't make him spend Christmas all alone Bring him home You can pick him up on your way, he could ride there in your sleigh Don't make him spend Christmas all alone Bring him home Bring him home Bring him home Bring him home

This Song
by Shannon
As I'm sitting here typing this message, I am crying my eyes out. This song truly hits home. As a child of a Veteran who was in the Navy for 23 1/2 years, you can bet myself and my family support the troops and their families. I have friends who have been over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our community has even lost a young man over in Iraq. Americans need to join together in supporting these men and women and their families. The children suffer the most because they don't understand. We just tell them to be brave and they are just that, BRAVE. God Bless all of our troops, their families, and their CHILDREN. Their the ones who make us step back and really think about what is happening.

I heard this song for the first time on christmas day sitting with my whole family this year...it made me cry though thinking of all the years that my family was not together on christmas because my dad was in the navy for 20 years, the whole time that i was growing up. there were so many years that we were not all together and this song was the perfect explanation of that feeling of your daddy not being there...she has such a sweet, innocent, cute voice. definitely love this song!!!!

One of the greatest songs I've ever heard in my life

I did cry...and I think America as a nation should hear this.......
by Heather
I've served now for 2 yrs. I'm a single mother to a beautiful 6 yr old daughter. Last Christmas, I fell in love with my fiance, an Army medic serving in Afghanistan with the 173rd. My daugther loves him just as much as I do. He was able to spend last Christmas with us, but unfortunately-was unable to this yr. My daughter, along with me and the rest of our families, were heartbroken. My daughter told everyone that her dad was protecting others who needed him more, but I could see the hurt in her eyes. My mother sent me this song tonight and boy!!! I'm STILL crying!!! Thank you for this song. For all of you out there serving our country or waiting here at home...THANK YOU!! Thank you for your sacrifice. You are ALL in my prayers everynight. God Bless........until they all come home......

Christmas Song
by Karen
Thank you for writing such a beautiful song. I weeped through it thinking of all the children without their daddies and mommies and also for all the brave men and women serving in the military away from home. I thought the little girl chosen to sing the song was perfect. You're right; she added purity and innocence and was the best choice for a moving piece. Thank you!

Made me cry.
by Jody
This song and the story behind it is so touching. I cried like a baby. It saddens my heart because i know so many little ones miss their parent or parents fighting this war. This is now my all time favorite song ever! I made my husband listen to it and just hearing the song again brought me to tears. God Bless all of our soldiers fighting this war. I pray for the safe return. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I truly appreciate all you are doing for our country.

Bring Him Home Santa
by The Andersons
This is a song to remind us all what war is like for children with their dads, brothers, and others in battle for America. It will probably be sung each year until the war is over. It's truly beautiful as is the little girl's voice. God bless all of those who are in harm's way; we should pray daily for them to return safely home and also for our President to know when to call our heroes home. Thanks for sharing this beautiful song.

by Cindy Swimley
My son-in-law was killed in iraq feb 16,05. My daughter Christine is going on with her life, but there isn't a day that goes by that we don't think about this. I have another son-in-law that is over there, we pray all the time that he makes it home, alive. This is a wonderful song. I wrote a poem in 2005 and would love to have a song made for it, and get it published. If your interested, please feel free to contact me at cindyswimley@yahoo.com. good work and keep it coming. God Bless all of our troops.

Beautiful
by LacyKay
My brother is in the Marines, currently stationed in Iraq. This was our family's first Christmas without him. As I heard this song, I started to cry. You really captured what so many of us are feeling as we pray for our loved ones in the military, loved ones who are far away from us. We only want them to come home safely. Thank you for this beautiful song. I pray it will open the eyes of those who are opposed to our military personnel and make them realize that our troops are people too, and they're out there protecting our entire country. This song was absolutely wonderful. I hope to hear more songs addressing our military.

LOVE IT!!!
by Jennifer & Levi
My husband and I absolutely LOVE this song!!! It is So awesome!!! The first time I heard it, we were sitting at FLYING J. My husband was checking the air pressure in the tires. It came on and I listened. I started crying, hoping that my husband would quickly get back in the car and at least hear the end. He got in the car when it was over, and I told him that he missed an awesome song. I turned up the radio even more to hear who sang it, or how I could hear it again. They announced this website on 93.3. I came home and logged on. This song is very touching to us because my husband is in the United States Marine Corps. He is expected to be deployed at the end of next year. It rips my heart out to know that he may be gone. I pictured our 14 month old daughter singing it. We are so thankful to the other men and women out there serving and fighting for our country. Thank you for this awesome song!

HEART WRENCHING
by CINDY F. FROM CALLAHAN, FLORIDA
I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM DOING SOME LAST MINUTE CHISTMAS SHOPPING, WHEN WQIK FM-99.1 IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA PLAYED THIS SONG. I CRIED SO HARD THAT I COULDN'T HARDLY SEE TO DRIVE. THE LITTLE GIRL SINGING THAT SONG TUGGED AT MY HEART & SOUL. I HAD TO GO TO THIS WEBSITE SO THAT MY HUSBAND COULD HEAR THIS SONG. THE EFFECT ON HIM WAS THE SAME. HEART WRENCHING. I IMMEDIATELY THANKED GOD FOR ALL MY FAMILY BEING HERE WITH ME, AND PRAYED FOR THE FAMILIES THAT HAD TO SACRIFICE THEIR LOVED ONES TO FIGHT FOR ALL OF US. I STILL SHAKE THE HANDS OF EVERYONE I MEET THROUGH MY JOB THAT IS IN THE MILITARY AND THANK THEM FOR FIGHTING FOR MY FREEDOM. I PRAY FOR ALL OUR TROOPS AND FOR THEIR SAFE RETURN HOME. GOD BLESS THEM ALL AND MOST OF ALL, GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Beautiful Song
by Anna Cmil
I don't personally know anyone who is overseas right now but when my friend and i found the video on 99.5 WYCD's website we were both in tears. at one point my husband before we were married wanted to join the military in some form, but i begged him not to because i selfishly wanted to keep him safe and stateside with me. i have so much respect for the men and women who risk their lives over in Iraq and this song really made me think of them and the families they have left here. thank you for creating such a beautiful tribute to the men and women who serve in our military.

It's After Christmas
by Gerry
It's After Christmas and I hope that we all don't forget that they are still there. I absolutly loved the song and relate in two ways. I relate first as a prior service soldier that spent time in two different conflicts in the late 80's, early 90's and I also relate as the husband of a current soldier, who is an Iraqi war Veteran who served in OIF 3. This song was so awesome. We both cried when we heard it. My wife almost missed Christmas in 05, but we got lucky and she came home on 14 Dec. Let us never forget the sacrafice and love that each Soldier, Salior and Marine have given, both in the past and now, so that we may sleep comfortably in our beds and have the freedom to say and do as we please. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!

Wonderful
by Maggie Mannebach
Well, what can I say! It is one of the most beautiful and sweet songs that I have ever heard. My grandfather served in the navy and it reminds me that so many people risk their lives for us. The first time I heard that song I was crying, even though I am only 9 years old it's still reminds me that when we pray, we should still say a couple of prayers for them. I love that song, every time I hear it I always wan to sing along and am happy that so many brave men and women served our country.

this is so pretty!!!
by Vikki
this is beautiful!! its so touching!! reminds me of my dad!!

THANK YOU
by Jolene, Aron, and Kaylynne Grabeal
I may not have a dad fighting in the war, but I do have a brother fighting over there this song means so much to me and my family. My brother has 2 kids that had a Christmas without their dad and I know that their are many more families out there that went through the same thing. This song really hits home in so many different ways. I am glad to finally hear a song that was sung by a child, that really means so much to so many people, I don't think had that song been sung by an adult, that it would have meant so much. I think that what the label company is doing with the proceeds is a wonderful thing. God Bless You All!!! Jolene - brother in the Army Aron - brother in law in the Army Kaylynne - uncle in the Army

The best Christmas song of 2007
by Rita
When i watched the video on youtube with the images it made me cried too.. i can imagine how hard will be for military's wives and for children wait for their siblings come home. I think this song has a good message " bring him home" next year will be the 2008 Presidential Election and We have to find a candidate who wants to bring them home ASP. I heard about Ron Paul's message, so far he is the only candidate who talks about bringing the troops home. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

WONDERFUL!!!!
by Army SGT
All I can say is WOW! I heard this song for the first time driving home from my night shift. I couldn't help but to tear up. It reminded me of the day I left for my deployment. I deployed when my son was 6 months old and was gone for a year. That was the longest and hardest year of my life. Just to be able to hug him and my wife when I got back was the most wonderful feeling in the world. To all those serving this wonderful country, I just want to say that you are in my family's prayers everyday.

Getting ready to go back for my second tour.. Hearing this on Christmas Day, having already said good bye to my brother who is in Customs Training but was in Abu Ghriab in 2004... It hurt.. Such a good song... Very true. This is the first Christmas in the past three that I have been able to make after 15 months of deployment, and having to leave right after this one.. really touches a soldier.. Knowing the pain my soldiers went through.. It really is nice to hear the naivety in children every now and then. Thank you..

by dan martin
my son in law is in southern iraq this christmas. we have been able to talk with him and see him through the internet. this song and the attatched video is really something else. sure made me cry. i am sad that we are at war but am gratful that it is over there and not here. it surtainly could be. i am gratful that we have these soldiers willing to go and protect our freedoms and sacrifice their time away from family. the marquee at my store says, 'Love freedom- thank a soldier". that is how i feel and we should especially honor them upon return, i know i will. God bless the soldiers and thanks for that lovely song

Why am I sitting here bawling listening to this song? My Marine son made it home for this Christmas and yet this song got to me. A biker friend shared the link on a biker forum to one of the youtube videos of this song. I am a former Navy wife so fully understand the "missing you and wishing you were home" feelings...there are several male bikers admitting this made them cry too!Thank you for this wonderful heart felt song...

Thoughst of Christmas Past
by Peggy
This songs reminds me of last year when my grandson was in Bagdad Iraq. That was the first time away at Christmas and Christmas was a different one; every member of the family was down ,he had lost a member of the platoon about three days before Christmas. Our thoughts were with that family---------------He's home this year and doing well.

Just Wonderful
by Rose Cobb
To me a good song is one that you hear once and love instantly. This is one of those songs and I plan on buying it for anyone in my family that I know will love it and appreciate it just as much as me. I have heard it a few times and had told my mother about it but it never came on the radio at the right time and when I found this web site I could finally play it for my mom. We listened to it on Christmas Day with our hearts aching and tears streaming! I would love to meet the little girl who sang it.

I just wanted to tell you how much this song means to me. My best friend is in Iraq right now. Everytime I hear this, I think about his 5 yr old little girl and that it is her singing it to Santa. Great Song
by Liz (Nana)
I am the Grandmother of three children, whose Daddy is in the Navy. I can"t get their faces out of my mind and I felt their feelings in my heart the several Christmas their Daddy was deployed. The song really makes you think what the meaning of family and love for each other is, especially at Christmas time. My daughter had to be Mom and Dad, like many others and it is not an easy task. Tht song brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat, but I would listen to it time and time again.

Legacy
by Kelley
Every now and then a song, a memory, a poem ,or a wish can touch the heart of this nation. When that happens you realize we really have not lost ourselves to commerialism nor are we so jaded we do not remember the innocence of simple belief and longing. Your song reminds us that as a people we all share some important values. The fact that it touches so many of us should give us all faith in ourselves-so many of us do care!. Thank you for creating a song that reminds us that so many simple things are bigger than ourselves. Your words and a small child's voice have spoke to so many hearts-it is a legacy of love! You both may go on to write many other songs, and touvh many other hearts, but this song...for this moment in time...is a legacy you can and should be proud of!

Very touching

This song really hit home for me. This will be the first Christmas my husband and I have not been together for and our son's first Christmas, whom he has never met. He deployed 6 weeks before our son was born. This is his second and last tour and thankfully we will be together soon. I send out my thanks and gratitude to all who serve and to their families for supporting them. God bless!

Touching
by Nick
This is an amazing song and it sure touches a lot of people. Especially me being a veteran and knowing what it is like spending Christmas alone. Witnessing the situations first hand and only wishing that they would allow all the troops to come home to their families. I've seen many families torn apart and being torn apart due to the long tours spent in Iraq and Afganistan by their family members and this song makes me pray for and wish the best to every family out there that has thier dad, mom, brother, son, daughter, wife, etc...... overseas serving in our military that cant come home to see their loved ones. I pray for your familys every day to be re-united soon!!! Thought and prayers go out to you all.

She is such good singer for such a young child. this song has touched many souls i'm sure of that. it has always made me think of all the young children who might not have there mom or dad or both parents with them this Christmas. I can't believe it!
by Natasha Jerome
I was driving down the road the other day when this song came on the radio. I listened to it closely, like I do for all songs that I have ever heard before. But this time it was different. For the first time ever I started to cry while listening to the words of a song. Then to my surprise my 4 year old daughter started to sing along, she knows almost every word. She said, "momma this is my song." She loves it so much, as do the rest of us. I would like to say that I am so thankful for all those men and women who are fighting for our country. God Bless all of them and there families for what they sacrifice! Hope they all have a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! One more thing before I go....This song is one that will touch many peoples hearts and will be remembered for years to come. Great job!

My husband is currently stationed in Afghanistan. Our baby girl was born less than two weeks ago and I know he would give anything to be able to spend this x-mas with us. Even though this song is not military related I know that many military wives are listening to this song and thinking of their wonderful husbands who they cannot be with at this special time. It's a beautiful song....

This song is wonderful. I heard it in the car this morning and tears just started coming. My husband is in the Navy. He isn't deployed but he goes to sea and I can just see our daughter doing the same thing when she is older. Thank you for this precious song.

by Jason Sparks
There are no words for this song. I'm a 31 y.o. male but I had to pull over because I couldnt see through the tears. NO child should have to be out without a parent(s) and as a young child I'm sure it's got to be hard to understand why mommy or daddy arent here for Christmas. THANK YOU to all the enlisted and thier families for putting your lives on the line for just for me. I pray you have the Merriest Christmas possiable.

Brought tears to my eye
by Jean
This song really touched my heart, because my dad is retired Air Force, and I have friends who have been over there for at least 2 tours now and just made it home from Iraq for the Holidays. It brought tears to my eyes. My mom is the one who told me about this song and this song even brought tears to her eyes. They are over there fighting for our freedom and we take things for granted. This time of the year is when we really have to think about the men and women over there fighting for us. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR US. Thank you for writing this song. It means so much. THANKS.

As a Marine I just have to say thank you for this song. Its not often a song brings me to tears but this one hit me pretty hard. I just got back from a deployment in Iraq, but while out there on a call back home one of the questions my nephews asked me on the phone was if I would be home for xmas, the oldest even said he wrote a letter to Santa asking him to bring me home. I know this song has touched alot of people and says what alot of families out there want to say.

My family and I are very fortunate not to have any loved ones gone for the holidays or at any time for that matter. What a lovely way to support our people and loved ones who are protecting all of us. I think that this has to be the most beautiful song that I have ever heard. I am sure that that is how the angels sound when they are singing. You have a beautiful voice little one.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a nice song. It made me cry.More people should hear this song. I felt their pain when I watched the video. I now know how it feels to be far away from your kids to protect. Even though I am going to feel this pain when I am older, I would still defend this country so my kids can have Christmas. Merry Christmas to the troops and the U.S.A.

I first heard this song on myspace a few weeks ago. I opened it not realizing how touching it would be to both my daughter who is 5 and myself. All month we have been counting down til Christmas without daddy. He just recently left on his second tour to Iraq. Just a few days prior, she had realized that daddy would not be coming home for Christmas. This song is so sweet and we just wanted to thank you for writing such a beautiful song! I hope that it has touched many others and helped them to realize what our military is sacraficing for their freedom. God Bless.

Anyone who is in the military, this song is something that i hope all you and your families hear, and i give u my thanks for protecting our country. This place would never be the same without you. God bless all the families that have people fighting in the war over Christmas, and any other time. Anyone who takes their time to read this message, remember america's worst day- September 11th, 2001, one if the worst terrorist attacks in america. If i had to go to special forces, i would gladly do it for u guys. Merry Christmas and god bless you all

This is an amazing song, the little girl singing it did an awesome job. The first time I heard it was on Froggy 98.1. I cry everytime I hear it. I bought the song and downloaded it onto Itunes, then burned it on a cd. Everytime I go in my car I listen to it and at work. Anyone that would listen to this song and not cry does not have a heart. Prayers go out to our Service men and women fighting for our country...God Bless America. It is a terrific song and very heartfelt!!

Bring him home Santa
by powmiadaughter
God this makes you tear up if you have any heart at all. I saw my daddy leave for Vietnam in 1965 , he was captured in October of 65 and how I wished on Christmas for Santa to bring him home. I am still wishing that Santa will bring him home. I love this song, the families and troops are our greatest wealth. May all them soon be reunited.

by Meg Sidbury
My dad is also in the Navy and he's going to miss Christmas next year, for the 5th time. I'm really going to miss him and i'm probably going to have to sing this song to myself, or put the lyrics near the milk and cookies! You have a wonderful voice and i love to sing along to this song. YOU ROCK!!!

This Song is Great
by Aimee-PA
The first time I heard this song I cried and each time I hear it I cry. I am 7 months pregnant and I help Military families with their healthcare and I can only imagine what the wifes, husbands, and children are going through. My husband would love to go into the Military but I dont think I could handle that. God Bless everyone that does have a family member overseas and have a safe holiday season.

GOD BLESS THE CHILDREN
by Daddy's girl
As an adult this song touches me but as a child of a soldier I remember my Dad not being home for Christmas. The men and women who give their time and lives to protect this country can only be called heroes, but, the families who pray for the safe return of a loved one are just as much a hero in my mind. I pray for the families of every soldier who won't be home this year and I hope those soldiers know how much they are appreciated and loved by the people at home. My mom used to tell us that Daddy may not be here with us but his spirit and courage lived in us every day. God bless the children, young and old.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR TROOPS OVER SEAS

Thank you
by Carly
I wanted to attempt to say thanks through the teary eyes. My husband (a Marine) is deployed (again) this Christmas, as well. For the last 7 Christmas seasons, we have been apart 6 times, and last year was actually our first year together ever. We do not have children (we want them, we are told we probably cannot have children), and this time of the year is so hard. It can be easy at times to be depressed and self-centered about "how bad it is that your husband is gone", but then being reminded about the little kids with a parent or two gone really helps me regain perspective and pick my head up. I don't pretend to know what it's like to be that child or to be the mother of a child in that position, because it's different with children, but I know what it's like to be alone for Christmas, and I want to thank you for helping the rest of the world see things a little better. God bless you!

I was on my way home from a christmas party and I heard this song on the radio and i started to cry. It just touched me so much the words and everything. My good friend just recently died of cancer and left behind two little kids a little girl and boy, it will be their first christmas without her and listening to this song reminded me of how much they would want her home for christmas and how every child who has lost a parent or friend or is in the war wishes and prays for them to come home safe. My uncle has been in jail for a year he was like a father to me and I havent been able to see my cusin and aunt in five years....well yesterday they surprised us and are here for a week for christmas. It's the best christmas present ever, God brought them to us for christmas even though my uncle can't be with us they are still here and I feel so blessed for that. This song is so touching and amazing there are no words to describe the feeling i get each time i listento this song. God Bless.

Thank You

I have a 21 month old boy and a 3 month old little girl. My husband is in the Army currently in Iraq for his 3rd tour and this is my 2nd deployment with him. This is my 2nd Christmas with out him and our son is lost without his daddy. I'm currently staying at my parents house because the 2 littles one are a bit much for me and I get a break every now and again. I cried my eyes out listening to this over and over again till I couldn't cry any more. This song has touched many people that I know and they say it makes them think of us. I'm so glad to see so many people reaction out and supporting out troops. My son & daughter asked Santa for " All we want is our daddy home safely for next Christmas." He said what an unselfish gift he would try his best. So thank you so much for this son its means everything to me and more. You've touched many people with this song.

Very Personal To Me
by G
My youngest son is LCPL in the Marine Corp. We are so blessed to have Caleb home with us this Christmas. He is scheduled for his second deployment to Iraq October of 2008. We are making the most of this holiday. He may not be with us physically next Christmas, but he will be in our hearts where ever he is. I am so thankful Caleb celebrated his 21st birthday on December 22. There are so many not able to be with their loved ones for the holidays. I pray that our troops will be safe. I pray that God will comfort them and give them strength. I pray that he will sooth their loneliness. Please give someone you love a hugh every day. Do not take for granted every oportunity we have to share our love and respect for others. God bless our troops and their families.

by Wanda
I have a son-in-law who was lucky enough to be home for Christmas this year! I think ir'a wonderful that we always keep our sons, daughters, in-laws, grandchildren, whatever the case, in our prayers. We moved to Beaufort, SC the home of Parris Island 13 years ago and I will say I learned to really stand behind our troops and their families who are left behind. I really salute the moms and dads who stay behind to take care of their families while the spouse is gone fighting for OUR freedom. Thanks for writing, thanks for singing and thanks for the donations to such a worthy cause. God sent his son for our freedom two thousand years ago so he understands our pain when we have to send our children. God Bless America and ALL troops in country or overseas!

by Barbee Carpenter
Everything about this was wonderful. Yes, lets bring them home - safe and sound. Our men and women are doing a great job for all of us, lets continue to pray for them. The song is beautiful and touched me in so many ways.

Very touching song
by Daniel
It is so hard not to get choked up when hearing this song. My father served 23 years in the U.S. Navy and I remember many Christmas's without him. While listening to this song it brings back many memories from my childhood and also thoughts of all the children whose parents have to spend Christmas without them this year. Also my thoughts go to the families of the children who have lost their parent to wartime situations. Thank you for giving us this song. God bless everybody and their families during this Christmas season.

From the Heart
by by Sharon
To often we caught up with the Hub Bub of the season and sometimes sadness from families's differnces that we forget the meaning and the simpicity of Christmas. Everyone should hear this song to remind us our blessings and being able to be together.

Really hits home, sweet song,
by angela
My cousin, and all four of my cousin-in-laws where shiped out about 3mths ago or so now. And god knows we would love to see them for christmas and so would there kids, but like she said thier country needs them. But I havent hear a more beautiful song in a very long time. May God Bless you and yours.

WOW !! MADE A GROWN MAN CRY !!!
by BYRON LAWRENCE
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SONG! THE PICTURES GO SO GOOD WITH IT. WE DO NOT KNOW HOW GOOD WE HAVE IT IN THIS COUNTRY TO HAVE THESE MILITARY FOLKS FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM SO THAT WE CAN CELEBRATE GOD'S BIRTH WITH OUR FAMILIES HERE AT HOME. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WRITING THIS SONG, I HEARD IT TONIGHT IN THE CAR ON 96.3 KSCS DALLAS, TEXAS IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. THEN I GOT HOME AND LOOKED IT UP AND SAW THE VIDEO, THAT MADE ME CRY LIKE A BABY BECAUSE ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT IS THAT I WILL BE WITH MY KIDS ON CHRISTMAS MORNING, AND THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF KIDS THAT WILL BE WITHOUT A MOM OR A DAD BECAUSE OF THIER BRAVE SERVICE TO THIS COUNTRY. WHAT MAKES ME CRY EVEN HARDER IS THE KIDS THAT WILL ACTUALLY NEVER HAVE CHRISTMAS WITH THEIR MOM OR DAD AGAIN BECAUSE THEY GAVE THEIR LIFE FOR OUR COUNTRY'S FREEDOM. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS AND THE FAMILIES OF OUR TROOPS. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND MAY GOD BE WITH YOU. THIS SONG WILL MAKE ME KEEP YOU IN MY DAILY PRAYERS MORE THAN EVER BEFORE. GARLAND,TEXAS

Bring him home Santa
by Stacey D. St. Joe, MO
This is a great song. I have 4 girls and 1 boy and they all love it!! It really touched my families heart. This is the second time that their dad has went over seas. But this time has been the toughest. He will be gone during Christmas and New Year's and it has been hard for all of us. This song has been a wonderful gift for my children. They absolutely love it. My two year old daughter sings it all the time and she loves to watch the video and see all her dad's friends. Thank you to all the men and women over seas fighting for our country and god bless their families and keep all of them safe.

I just cried my eyes out listening to this for the first time. We have 4 children ages 8,7,4, and 2. My husband is spending another Christmas in Iraq. He should have been home in October but due to the extensions and a special duty to ride the cargo ship home he won't be home until March. My heart aches. My children are asking if the commander will let him be home for Christmas. I have to keep my own emotions in check and explain it to them once again. A mothers worst pain is seeing her children hurt. This Christmas my soldier is alone in a tent in Baghdad. There are 5 people holding their breath until we see SGT J. Barton again....Godspeed baby.

Made a Marine Cry!
by Chris
All I can say is wow. I heard this song on the radio on my way into work the other morning. I was driving down the road and I just started to weep. I am a former marine who served overseas in Iraq and Kuwait. This song is a wonderful remider to everyone to be thankfull that some of us are given the opportunity to be home for the holidays and also makes us think and rememember those who are currently overseas.

Our Future
by Nikki
This song is very good. My husband will be home this year for Christmas but he will leave for Iraq on January 8th of 2008 and he will be gone for 1 year. So next year he will miss out on our baby's first birthday, our second son turning 4 and Christmas. And that will be so hard for me. I really enjoyed the song and even brought tears to my husbands eyes as well.

I heard the song on WMXL 94.5 FM in Lexington Kentucky. I really enjoyed the song, but when the part came on about the dress blues, I couldn't help but think about the current situation with all of our troops deployed around the world. Gol Bless our troops and bring all of them home safely

I play this every day
by Diane from Houston
I play this song everyday, knowing our soldiers are protecting the USA. The families have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect America. I too had a husband who was away early in our marriage 40 years ago. He did his duty in Viet Nam and I am very proud of all our service men. You will be in my thoughts and prayers this holiday season. God bless you all!!

Bringing him home
by Anna
The first time I heard this song, I cried my eyes out. At that very moment I was going to pick my big brother up from the airport, for Christmas. My big brother is in the Navy and I miss him very much when he’s not here. It’s funny that you made this song; I’ve thought so many times that I would give up everything for Christmas if I could only see him. I got this song and I plan to listen through the year it will remind me that he will be coming home and to help me look forward to that moment when I can give him a great big hug (even though it embarrasses him) and bring him home with us. Thank you very, very much.

Thank you
by Jennifer C.
My 7 year old daughter actually heard this song a few nights ago while listening to the radio before she fell asleep in bed. She came down stairs crying and when I asked her why, she said she heard a song that reminded her of daddy. Today it came on the radio again while we were in the car and all three of us were crying ~ her, myself and her 11 year old brother. You see, my husband (their dad) is currently deployed with the Navy. He won't be home for Christmas this year, for the second time in 3 years. Your song hits home for us and many others like us I'm sure. I want to thank you personally for thinking of our families and our loved ones who serve 365 days a year, even when it means being alone during the holidays. It's not a stretch at all for our children to ask for daddy (or mommy in some cases)instead of gifts. Thank you again for this very meaningful and real song. May God keep them safe until they come home!

Thank you
by Alaina
I'm a new airman's wife and not only am I spending my first Christmas with my husband, without him, I am also pregnant. I started crying the first time I heard this song and I've listened to it 3 times since. The part about finding him standing by the tree hits home every time. Thank you for writing something that reminds people that not everyone can enjoy the holidays with the comfort of their family surrounding them. God bless all the troops. May they all come home safe.

so sweet and angelic
by Pamela J
I teat up every time I hear this song. My husband didnt think he would..well,I proved him wrong and now he cries like a baby when hearing this song sung so sweet and innocently. Our son was in Iraq this time last year and also has a 3 yr old daughter as well and a newborn. They are very grateful to have their daddy home. God bless you. What a wonderful way to express our love for our country and the men and women who wont be home but can dream with this song....

I purchased this song via my credit card because my radio station was playing it and I thought it was great. However it did not allow me to download the song and it did not tell me where I could download the song or if I was going to get a copy of this song in the mail. I hope I am going to get my copy of this song from somewhere. After all I purchased it through Godstrong(St Jude). My e-mail address is cody6sam@yahoo.com. Someone please let me know how to download my song so I can listen to it. Thanks,

my story
by Jenna Hord
This song really means alot to me. My dad is in the Navy and he is in Iraq for the holidays. He has been there for about six months and it already feels like it has been years. I really like this song. Some people just think that they could stand having their parents gone for a year or two cause parrents get on their nerves sometimes. But then when it really happens they feel to wrong, and they were. It is so hard. They barely get to call you and letters take a very long time to get there and back. I jus want to say God bless those over there and be safe. And just remember that you guys and girls have family and friends waiting for you at home. And you are in peoples prayers everyday. And Dad i love you so much! Come home soon and safe! I love and miss you so much. You have no clue. And actually i just got a Christmas card from you today in the mail. So thank you so much. I love and miss you! Love your Boo, Jenna

Bring Him Home Santa
by Athena
I heard this song on the radio and started crying. My husband is currently serving in Iraq and due home anyday now. We are hoping he will be here before Christmas in a few days. I took my three children to see Santa on the base one night. When Santa asked my daughter what she wanted for Christmas all she told him was "I want you to bring my daddy home he's in iraq catching bad guys" I think even Santa got tears in his eyes from that request. Although I haven't experienced a family member in the military like this, I still feel the pain because many of my friends have experienced it. by Deanna Johnson
It is really hard to listen to this song and not cry i really like this song a lot it would be nice to have their fathers home. I would like this song to play all the time on the radio, and to have people listen to and really relize that some of these people/kids dont even know their parents at all, and it is sad that some dads/moms die even before the kids are born. i hope that people understand that young kids like this girl singing the song are hoping that their dads come home for Christmas well i hope that their prayers come true. I hope that other people pray for them to.

by Trisha Powell
The first time i heard this song i was dropping my bestfriend off at her ship!! but thats not what touched me... I sat here crying as I listened to this beautiful song. My heart goes out to each and every child and family of those who are serving so far away this holiday season. May God watch over your loved ones until Santa can bring them home to you. Merry Christmas and God bless. May this New year bring the men and women who are serving our country back home to those who love them.

Wow, I love this song. I cried for the first time in almost six years when I heard it the first time. I am a 20 year old Paratrooper in the 82d Airborne Division who was lucky enough to be able to come home for Christmas, which really made my family. I love my country and would do anything for it, but I am very family oriented which is why your song touched me so much. Thank you.

So sad...
by Sarah
I heard this song last night on my way home from doing so last minute christmas shopping. I had the radio on the local county station and had the radio turned down because I had just went through the drive through, when I turned it up, I was intrigued so I listened. Before I had made it the mile to my home I was crying. It pains me to think about how many children are feeling this same sentiment right now. Wishing for their father or mother, who is bravely serving our country overseas. I would like to commend not only the soldiers, but their families. This is one of the most trying times for a person to be separated from their loved ones. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be away from my family at Christmas, I hope that everyone who is away from their family gets them home safe from the far away lands in which they currently reside.

Thank you!
by Kelly W. OH
This song made me cry. I don't know any service men or women over there right now but it makes me sad that they are missing so much of their families and children's lives and the holidays especially Christmas. I always think about our men and women overseas and this just brings it back to my heart. The video was really awesome and made me cry even more to see the footage of some of the soldiers and the families that are missing them.

Thank you!
by liz
My dad spent years in the Military and my brother-in-law was deployed last Christmas. I want to say thank you to all the troops and their families. This is truely, The Land of the Free, BECAUSE of the Brave. The troops and their families are the bravest people in the world. When I first heard this song the radio annoucer was choking up, it made me think of my dad and brothers-in-law and the sacrifices that they have had to make over the years so that my family and I could be free and safe. I love you all and Merry Christmas to everyone of you.

this is a great song!

Oh my goddness! This song is so good. KEEP WORKING! zYou are amazing who ever sings it. iI would love to meet you!!

From one artist to another
by Raymond Adams
I am an artist (carving and other woodarts) who lives in Lebanon, TN. I heard about this song on a web-based club for scroll saw artists and after visiting this site I had to let you know how much this song touched me. You see, I don't celebrate christmas. I am a messianic jew. However, the sentiments and shear beauty of this song speak for themselves whether they are speaking about christmas, a birthday, thankgiving or just a lonely afternoon when a family is missing thier loved ones. I am an avid supporter of our troops overseas and have been from day one. Each report of a death or injury drives me to prayer for the soldiers and thier families and now I see another avenue for support opened up with this masterful song. Keep up the good work and may God bless you and make His countenance to shine upon you as this song touches lives and becomes a classic played for years to come.

i was just browsing for the word home, them curiousity came into me when i saw the tag 'bring him home santa'. and when i watched this video, hearing the angelic voice singing this song, can't stop my tears falling... and remembering my boyfriend who's in marines for service... wishin' we could spend our first christmas together...i just miss him so much...

Great Song
by Shelli
As a military member, wife of a Navy man, sister of a Marine and cousin to Army boys, this song touched my heart. I have been away from my family for 5 years and next Christmas my now 2 year old may not see her father for the holiday. It made me start crying because it reminds me of how she runs to meet him now when he gets home from work and how next year she won't be doing that. I can only pray that every child who has a mother or father overseas gets to see that parent again. It is a beautiful song and the little girl does it perfectly. Such innocence and hope.

My Brother
by Abbey
My brother is in Iraq and the first time I heard this song I lost it. I know its different because he is my brother but it still upsets me a lot. I think about him everyday and I am glad people pray and think about what all of our soldiers are doing over there. I really wish santa could bring them all home and we would just be at peace but I know that could never happen. So thanks for everything everybody does for our soldiers over there and the ones here. God Bless America and Support Our Troops!

Great! Great! Great!
by Laurie, Proud Navy wife
I heard this song for the first time the morning that Ichabod Caine from KMPS played it on his morning show. I loved it instantly. I have 3 little girls that love it now too. I have heard it so many times on the radio now and still haven't gotten through without crying once(which doesn't make driving any easier). My husband has been in the Navy for just over 9 years now and this is his first Christmas away. I thank you so much for putting into words the feelings that military children know all too well. My girls love it so much and my 3 year old sings along and says that is makes her think of her daddy. This song means so much to so many. I can't wait to be able to have my husband listen to this. I know he will love it too.

WOW
by Nicole Martindill
Where do I begin...well as being an Army wife myself and having a child during that time, that was a hard song to listen to. My husband has been out now for a few years and luckily he didn't have to deploy. I have many friends that are in and have served and are serving. We quickly forget how the children feel and what they want the most is their parents on christmas morning. So this morning as I sat there listening to this song I couldn't help but cry. It is to close to home for me and many friends. To all those little ones whoes parents that can't be home with them on Christmas, I just want to thank you for being so brave. Your parents are doing a wonderful job. To the song writers and producers, Thank you for writing this song and not forgetting what these precious little children are missing and recognizing these men and women who are fighting for our country. Wow is all I can say! Merry Christmas!

Still Crying
by T
I heard this song the first time on my way home from work and had to pull over because I couldnt stop crying. My best friend is over seas right now and his family, friends and me miss him very much. I doesn't matter how many times I hear this song, I still cry every time. I just want to take this opportunity and thank each and every one of the soldiers for our country and their families who deal with it all and support them 100%! COME HOME SAFE GUYS!! THANK YOU!! GOD BLESS

My husband is in the US Army...our daughter was born Christmas day 2006, and luckily he was able to be home for her birth, we were also so fortunate for him to be home for her first birthday this year..but next year we wont be so lucky. He deploys this year in April for 18 months....this song hits so so so SOOOOO close to home. I cried like a BABY the first time i heard it and continue to cry everytime i hear it!! THIS SONG IS AMAZING!! Thankyou thankyou thankyou for everyone who serves for our countrys freedom!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

This is such a cute song!!! it almost made me cry!!

i can so relate!
by Breann Arant
My husband is in the military and he has missed 2 christmases in a row. our son was born december 18th last year and he missed that also. we also have a 3 year old who had said she wanted daddy for christmas. my one wish would be to have him home for the holidays. this song says it all and the fact that it is in the innocent voice of a child makes it that much harder to listen to. it is absoluetly beautiful and who ever came up with this idea should send it to our congress men and women. maybe then they can understand what military spouses really go through when we have to say good bye.

WOW
by TL Rumsey
I have no one in my family that is in the military, but this song, heard all the way in Albeta Canada. Well it is one of the most popular Christmas songs around here, and you can tell when it is playing on the radio, because in the car right next to you, the people are crying along with you. How can you not just stop and think of everything around you. You just stop worrying about the buying gifts, running around, you just think of everyone who means something to you.

Our Thanks!
by The Scott Family
We would like to thank all our troops who are serving our country overseas not only this time of year, but all year long. Also, thank you to the families for your sacrifice's. All of ours are stateside at this time, but we are thinking of & praying for those who can't be. This song is very hard to listen to, but has one of the best messages I've heard in a long time everyone need to hear it. Thank you for releasing it & playing it. Blessings to you all and Merry Christmas.

Not Enough Words
by The Strickland's
There aren't enough words to express the feelings in my heart. My 24 yr. old daughter called me on her way home from work crying after she heard this song. After I heard the song for the first time...my heart was overwhelmed with love for the families of all military members. How can we ever thank you all for raising your children with the courage to go and protect our lives? They are all amazing human ANGELS. My family and I want to thank each and everyone of you for risking you lives to make ours better. And to the family members left behind, our thoughts and prayers are with you all this holday and the days to come. We are PROUD of everyone of you. God, bring them home safe.

Heart Wrenching
by Lori Schmidt
Wow! What a song GOD BLESS this little girl and her family and her Daddy. Keep praying honey and GOD will bring your daddy home soon. If you listen to this song and don't cry then something is wrong. This song hits you like a ton of bricks. Who is this little girl and who wrote this song? It's too bad that these families have to go through this especially the children when they don't understand. We as adults think that we know how they feel but we don't! To all the military families just keep the Faith and keep praying! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

As me and my co-workers sat today and listen and watched this video for the first time, we realized that we hadn't thought about our soldiers this Christmas. As the tears began to flow down our cheeks, we all thanked God for all the men and woman who fight for us.. May GOD be with eash and every family this Holiday season.

by Darylie Mo
This song is ahh-mazing.Its so cute that this little girl sings it. ILOVE IT. Its so sad. Im glad her dad is back. Its the perfect song, because its christmas and her dad and other troops are honoring our country over in IRAQ. I almost cryed the first time i heard this song. My dad fought in Iraq. I know what she most be going through, and i feel so bad for her. I hated when My dad was over there. Im just lucky that my dad gott hurt(not to badly, butt enough where they let him out on disiblity.)while being over there. Or my dad would still be over there. Im so sorry that your dad like many other moms & dads are fightin or have fought. Merry christmas and a happy new year. I hope your dad will be home for good soon.

AWESOME SONG
by Mary S
I heard this on my way to work one morning and then went out on 99.9 KISS Country to find the video. My 8 year old and I listened and watched the video together and both of us were crying. If you don't cry when you watch this video and hear this song, somethings wrong and you are very cold hearted. We should all hold up not only our soliders in our prayers but also the families of those serving. It has got to be hard on the adults as well as the children to not be together during Christmas. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you that are serving and those at home waiting for them to come home. Merry CHRISTmas & Happy New Year! Keep playing this song!!!!

Its so sad
by Logan
I love this song. The first time i heard it i almost cried.

Wow. is all I can say..
by Pamela Cumming
I heard this song for the first time on KSON, San Diego as I was driving to work. Normally, when listening to "Cliff n Company" I would have streams of tears from laughter at Tanner and his jokes, but this time it was different. Tears of sadness, as I remember last year at this time when my son was in Baghdad away from his 2 yr daughter and wife. This song has touched millions as it has me. The little girl who sang this will be known for her purity and love for her daddy. Thank you for sharing this song. It will be around for quite awhile. Merry Christmas

THANK YOU
by Veronica
Thank you for making this song. it hits home. I was in the army and i know how it is to be away from your lover ones at christmas. I been there. It is so wonderful for you all to play this song. Wish and pray to god all the soldiers the best of luck and I'm praying for them. I wish for the kids to have their dad to be home with them. I am a single mom and my kids had to stay with my mom. God watch over our soldiers. Merry Christmas to all of you. The song does make you cry and think. Thank you The Wolf for playing it. It's a wonderful song.

I heard this song yesterday on the radio as I was driving to work. It broke my heart. My son is in Iraq. My grandson is 6 years old and just wants his daddy to come home. Thank you for this song and God Bless Our Troops.

This is so wonderful...
by Cassidy
My dad is retired military but he'd left many times for TDY while he was active duty, the worst time was to the Middle East during my senior year in high school. Although we were blessed not to have him gone at Christmas time, I often felt this way.. if only he could come home. I love our troops and am so thankful for them and the service they provide us. Thank you for creating such a beautiful song that shares how those of us with military friends and family members feel when they are away from us....

this is really cute but sad
by Ashley Brock
i would be sad too if my husband was overseas for the holidays but thank god hes home this year and hopefully next year too. i love my husband soo much and im soo proud of him and support him 100%, he is my hero, the love of my life, and the father to my child and i thank god everyday that i found him bc through him i have become a better person and he has too. i love him soo much and this song makes me love him even more just because its a child wanting her daddy back from overseas for christmas and i know our kids will be the same way when he goes over but like her mommy ill explain to them why he has to be gone and that he will be back and that thier daddy loves them very very much. itll be hard not having him for the holidays when he does go but i do cherish every moment i have with him now and itll never change the way i feel for charles because he is my world. im just glad that we get to spend our first christmas together im happy for that and then if he can stay next christmas for his babys first christmas that would be great but if he cant then thatll be ok too. this is a really great song though above all things.

Jennifer/ Indiana Thank you
by Jennifer Stanley/ Indiana
Thank you so much for this song. You have no idea how much it means to all of us who have family members fighting and not able to be home with us. My husband is now currently over in Iraq this is his second tour. And his second christmas away from home. We just celebrated our one year anniversary apart. Which was extremely hard of course. And we have a beautiful baby boy who is three months old. He was here for the birth thank God. But, he was recently in an accident where his hum-v ran over an IED. Which terrified us both. But it's songs like this that keep our faith strong. You are truly a God send. GOD BLESS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Thank you!
by Military MOM
This song was us last Christmas. My son was in Ramadii and he had a six month old daughter that he hadn't seen since she was three weeks old. We were so proud of him and still are of the many men and women that are serving our country. This year I am proud and sad to say that my youngest son is not home for Christmas because he is in Parris Island training to be a Marine. Only sad because he won't be with us at Christmas. My son actually cried when he heard this song for the first time. He has only been home a few months and this are still pretty raw for him but he loved the song and could truly understand the sentiment. Again, THANK YOU to all of you wonderful men and women, mothers and fathers that have made the sacrfice to protect the rest of us. You are my Heros.

I am very blessed because my husband and I are going to have our first child and he will be able to be home with me for everything. However he has a nephew over there now and his wife is expecting this spring and I hope that he can be there for that experience. I really hope that the wish that this little girl and other the other children have will come true!! Merry Christmas to all!!

I heard this song on Froggy 98.1 and I fall in love with it. It even brought tears to my eyes. I have friends over there and I even had family over there. But my family is home but not my friends. And we need to support our troops all the time not just when we feel like it. And I hope they all return safe to their families and friends. God Bless You All.

I Love This!!

Blessed Voice and Touched Hearts
by Jenny
Thank you for sharing this song and giving us the opportunity to hear such a wonderful voice.is there a cd available? i think it should. Its nice to actually make this song more realistic hearing it from a childs voice. Thats why it touched my heart and many of my family members who also serve in the military and enjoyed a heart felt voice. So from all of us that are serving we would like to thank the little girl who took the time to open up a song like this and sing it to the world. We are so greatful. And hope that there are more like this in the future. Thank you again and Merry Christmas.

Incredible song!
by Denise
A co-worker sent me the link to this song knowing that my son is a U.S. Marine Recruit in bootcamp, training to serve and protect our country. Of course my tears flowed listening to this song - and the pictures were perfect. I am so thankful for our troops and I pray that each one of them will be home safely very soon. My prayers go out to our troops, family and loved ones of our troops, for the leaders of this country and for the innocent people of Irag and Afghanistan. God's blessings to you all.

Best Christmas Song ever
by Janet
Thank you so much for writting such a heartfelt song. This song can touch everyone, first the milatary families who are missing their love ones this Christmas. Then it touches someone like me who lost their dad to divorce and would have given anything to see her dad on Christmas and knowing that he was spending Christmas alone and then the song just reminds us that Christmas is not about presents but about the more important things like God, family and friends. My dad and I have had our song for years but I called him last night to tell him I have a new song for us and I played it for him and just reminded him how much I love him.

This song is beautiful
by Barbara
I just heard this song today for the first time and it brought tears to my eyes. I was with my husband at the time. He has been deployed to Iraq twice so this song has special meaning for me. If I had heard it at Christmas time 2005, when he was in Iraq for his 2nd tour, I would have bawled. It is so difficult for the families to have their loved ones in harm's way and it is even more difficult during the holidays. I continue to pray for all our service men and women, that God will bring his angels down to surround them every day and keep them safe. God bless our country and our wonderful soldiers.

thank you
by mrs. b, proud marine wife
my husband has been in iraq (his second tour) for the past year. he is slated to come home soon, but celebrating christmas without him is tougher than i ever imagined. we don't have any children yet, but as soon as i heard this song on the radio, i broke down crying. i can't listen to it without crying, especially when she sings about the dress blues, because my husband is a marine. this song is lodged deep in my heart. thank you for getting it out there, hopefully it will touch others hearts as well. my prayers are with all the families who have loved ones in harms way this christmas. may god protect them and bring them home soon.

i cried
by rebecca
wow that song was really good........ i loved it. it made me cry that was the cutest thing i have ever heard and the video made it even more better. i thank you for putting that on the radio for every one to hear because, i am sure it made soem sort of a difference to every one who heard that song. it probably touched amny people who have a parent fighting in the war. i bet there is a lot more kids out there who they are askign for some one to come home from the war to santa. wich may be a disappointment to soem childern but i quess the best thing is that they know that there parent in the war is fighting for our country's freedoom. i do think though that it is very wrong that the troops can't come home for at least chritmas but i guess it's for the best. so thank you for having that song be played for every one to here what they want home for christmas. thanks one in a million

bring him home
by Connie
So heart felt. The first time I heard the song I was driving home and was overwhelmed by emotion. My youngest son just returned from Iraq, and I know how all the families with Military sons and daughters feel. Today on the way to work, while the song was on, the local military members were wishing their families happy holidays, and that they would be home soon. Almost had to pull over and stop the car. Please, bring them home.

Awesome!
by Stacey Williamson
This song really touched my heart. I am a military wife and my husband just returned from a fifteen month tour in Iraq. He was injured during an explosion and was flown back to the United States for treatment. We have a two year son that my husband just started getting to know. We found out he was leaving when I was still pregnant. God Bless our troops and all military families going through it. Just remember that God is with us and the power of prayer is what keeps a family strong.

Bring Him Home Santa
by Carey Carlson
Rory and Musical friends, My, this "little" song of yours is impacting huge. Our Northern Michigan listeners are ringing the phones off the hook to hear it. I care what songwriters look like, because I care about the lyrics and I like to know who they come from. Your Song Trust sounds like a juicy creative bunch of fine folk. That you wrote The Chain Of Love does not suprise me, it is the song that leaves you better than it found you. Thank You for the words. Merry Christmas and enjoy this ride. FROM A CAREER SAILOR
by David
This song is a heart warming, touching song. I've been in the Military for almost 20 years and I could see my own children singing this song. I've missed A LOT of important things over the years, but I haven't missed a Christmas yet. Let me say "Thank You" for this song for all of those that wear a uniform. I would like to wish all of those that are wearing the uniform and their families a SAFE, Happy and Healthy Holiday Season and New Year to follow.

Crying already about next year!!!
by Melissa
I just heard this song and I am crying like crazy!! You see, my husband is in the military and we have already been told that he will be gone overseas next Christmas. We have handled many trips before, but next year will be the first time that he will be away, not only from me, but away from our little girl. She's 19 months now and is a little fireball full of personality. I can just picture her singing this song next year, missing her daddy, and it absolutely breaks my heart. He's been away on short trips from us before, but next year we know he will be gone no less than 6 months. I know I am not the only wife/mother going through the same roller coaster emotions and my prayers go out to all of them. Please support our troops and their families!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Thank you from an army wife

My daughter is 9 and this is her second time having daddy over there for Xmas. When I heard this song I cried. I rememeber her asking me the first time he was over there she was only 5, if I thought santa would only bring her one gift if she only asked for one. Not realizing what she wanted I asked her what it was she said the only thing she wanted for Xmas was her daddy to be here with us. I bawled. This song reminded me of that. The kids are as affected by the deployments if not more affected than we are as adults. And this song says it all... Thank you for making this song for all to hear to hope they realize that it is not only the adults that are affected by deployments but the children are affected too. Once again thank you for this wonderful song....

Words can't express...

I heard this song yesterday on my way shopping, I have no family nor friends over seas, but it touched my heart...Although this song is dedicated to our troops,it reminded me of my 8 year old daughter. Her father died in an accident this past march. She is having a hard time dealing w/ the fact that he's not here this christmas. So am I!!! I pray for the safety of all our troops & the familys that are spending christmas alone. To the girl who wrote this, u are very talented, I hope he comes home for christmas, I will be buyin this, although I don't want my daughter to hear it, it touched me, thank you & best wishes to you & your family.MERRY CHRISTMAS

Thank you so much!

My husband has been deployed for the past 14 months to Kuwait. Its so hard on our family especially our two young daughters who are 3 years old and 9 months. They are too young to understand why their Daddy cant be home for their birthdays and holidays. This song really hits home. I cried the whole time watching it. Unless you've been there you will never know how heart breaking it is when your child asks you why Daddy cant come home from work. He should be coming home next month sometime and we are all looking forward to seeing him again. Thank you again for this wonderful song/video.

thank you

Awesome!!!!
by Stacie Barnes
I listen to Moby in the Morning on South 107 and caught the tail end of his talk about this song so I came home to listen to it this morning. After listening to this song it reminds me that my 5 year old daughter is very fortunate to have her mom and dad with her every Christmas. I do not have the awful task of telling her that her daddy won't be home for Christmas because he is fighting to keep our freedom, but to those of you who have that awful task may I say thank you. You and your families are my heros. You all give so much of yourself without blinking an eye and for that I will forever be thankful. To the writers of this song, you are extremely talented and thank you for making me once again take the time to let my daughter know that there are others who aren't as fortunate. May God bless you all!!!

I heard this song for the first time today, it brought tears to my eyes. I have a brother in-law who is in Army Reserves and also activated. His was expecting to be deployed this year for the second term, but is looking at summer for a deployment time. I want to thank all of our service men and women who are here in the states and across the seas for all they have done to keep us safe here and around the world. I pray that everyone comes home safely. And for all those who are away from their families this christmas, A very special pray goes out to you- Be safe, Thank you, and Merry Chistmas!!!!

Wonderful Song!!!!!!
by Crystal / Arkansas
I just wanted to tell you that " you have created an AWESOME song. I heard it on the radio coming ome from work on a Thursday evening.Of course like everyone else I was balling like a little baby. I stopped at a red light & looked over at the car next to mine. The lady in it was crying her eyes out like me. I rolled down the window & asked 95.7? (meaning the radio station)She shook her head yes. at that moment I knew that this was going to become the best Christmas song ever. I googled it when I got home & luck for me I found it. When my hubby got home that night I made him listen & that is the first time I have seen him cry in forever. That shows you have a great song. My brother-in-law is in Iraq, so I passed it along to his wife & she called Thanking Me.... Once I got to work the next morning, I sent it to the ENTIRE CO. While walking the halls after it was sent, all you hear is sniffles..... The little girl sounds soooooooooooooooooo precious. You all did a WONDERFUL job. Keep the tunes rolling... I hope you all have a safe & wonderful Christmas....

This song was so beautiful. It made my heart melt and drop at the same time. I loved it. My best friend is in the military and there might be a chance she will be sent to Iraq and her husband they have three boys and my heart goes out to all the military families that have loved ones over fighting for our country. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful song to all of us!

I don't have a family member in the military right now overseas, but so far have had to say goodbye to 2 friends in the last 2 years that weren't so lucky to make it home safe. They both had small children and i just lost it when i heard this song. God Bless all the men and women who fight for this country and whos families miss them everyday so they can do so. Thank You Very Much.

by Amy
The very first time I heard this song, I cried my eyes out! I called my husband and told him to listen (I was om my way to work. My husband is in the Army and this song says it all! We have two kids and when he was in Iraq our daughter was only an infant so she didn't realize what was going on but our son was 8 years old and he had a really rough time with it, but thankfully our soldier came home just a few days before Christmas. I hope this helps others realize how important our soldiers are to our freedom and wonderful lives that we live in this great country. People may not agree with the war but they need to support the soldiers and their famlies.

Touching my heart

Although i don't have any of my own family over sea's, But when i heard this song it touched my heart. I found myself crying listening to this little girl sing about her dad. Crying in sadness for the troops who can't spend christmas with their family, and cryig in happiness because we all are so blessed to have troops that are brave, and strong.....i want to sayh thank you to all the troops, this year and though some of you can't be here this christmas, you are in our prayers and our hearts. So my little girl is 8. Her dad has been on many deployments and has missed Christmas. And for the next two years, he'll be missing Christmas again as he will be deployed overseas without us for a very extended amount of time. When my kids heard this song, they got sad. They remembered their daddy leaving. But more then anything they know what the future holds and that for the next two years, this song will be close to our hearts. The next Christmas he'll have with our daughter, she will be 11. So much will have changed by then. You song is amazing, and so touching. It brings out the true feelings a little girl has at a time in their lives when they need their daddy the most. Thank you so much for writing this lovely song!

i am 17 years old and i can remember christmas' when my father was overseas and now im engaged to someone who is in the army and he is overseas too and will miss this christmas, i was on myspace when i first heard this and there was a video that accompanied it and the video made it all the more sad. after hearing this song i called my fiance's mother and let her hear this song and she cried too. i love how it comes from a childs point of view but anyone who has a loved one away with the military can relate.

I work for the Air Force. When I heard it on the radio I had every one I could find come to my office to hear it. It brings tears to your eyes. The little girl sounds so sweet and innocent she has a wonderful voice. It's #1 song of 2007 to me. Merry Christmas to all the Soldiers over there fighting for our freedoms. You are loved.

Everyone needs to hear this
by AMY
I heard the song for the first time on the radio today and watched a video someone put together on U tube with it. My husband is deployed to Iraq for the third time and has missed many Christmases either in Iraq or deployed elsewhere. My 6 yr old son asked Santa this year to get his daddy a new gun so he could get all the bad guys and come back home quicker. It is so heartbreaking to think that my children and the children of other soldiers have to grow up so quickly and have thier little hearts broken year after year. I hope this song helps others without soldier family members to understand not only the sacrifice they make, but the sacrifice that thier children and families make every day and at Christmas.

my husbands in the US Air Force and is deploying in May
by Christina Tweedie
My name is Christina, I am a recent newly wed, June 23, 2007 to my husband who is serving as a Reservist for the United States Air Force. Come May 2008 he will deploy to Afganistan for 6 months. I first heard this song on 93.7 The Bull (St Louis, MO area) on my way home from college and I litterally had to pull of the side of the road. I cried so hard when I heard it. And, to make things worse, my husbands brother just graduated basic for the Army and after his training, his first duty station more than likely be Iraq bc he is medical. So he will be in Iraq when my husband will be in Afganistan. But, I thank the writters of this song for the meaning that this brings to all the military families. I pray to God daily for their safety and for the families of the fallen soldiers! May GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! Thank you, Christina

A Heart Touching Song...
by Tony Momsen
A friend of mine sent me an email about this song. She had apparently cried as she listened to this song. She wondered whether it would effect a man like it did her. I have to say yes it does. I was a former Army Sgt during the Viet Nam Era. Even though I spent my tour in Germany I saw what father's went through being away from their families. Great song keep it going it's fantastic...

AWESOME SONG!
by Bonnie
As a child my father was in the Army and I too can relate to this little soft angel singing from her heart, I heard this song for the first time sitting in my truck listening to WFMS 95.5 in Indianapolis, IN. I cried from the first line in this song and didn't stop until I had to go back into work from my lunch break. GOD BLESS THE SONGWRITERS and the Little angel who sang this song, such a sweet, claming voice that just melts your heart. We all can truely relate to this song even if you don't have anyone in the service. This song is a reminder of the children and spouses who are going through these emotions all year long, but Christmas especially. I have read all the comments and my heart is truely touched to see how much people still care for one another. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TOUCHING MY HEART AND SOUL. This song will grow by the minute and THANKS TO all the radio stations in the USA for playing this song, and it shouldn't only be at christmas that this song is played. PLAY IT ALL YEAR LONG.

THANKS
by Forguson's (Suffolk VA)
This song is very gripping, it will make you realize that we cannot all be with the people that we LOVE and long to be with. I have had several friends go to Iraq but I have lost contact with many of them so I do not know if they made it home safe or not. I pray for their familes that they will spend a wonderful holiday this year and many more. Thank You to all the MEN & WOMEN of all branches of servies and MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. Stay safe and kick butt....

by Caity
This is one amzing song. The first time I heard it I was sitting in the car with my fiance the night before he was leaving for iraq and we both broke out in tears. What our military does over there is amazing but it doesnt make it less hard for them and their family and friends to be away for Christmas. I didnt cry when I first heard the song but when i saw the video the tears came, especially at the end when the little boy ran to his dad. Thankyou whover for this song.

This little girl is so cute. My cousin and started to cry. I was very touched, for a little girl her age to sing about giving up her soccer ball and barbies is precious. It makes you think about what you would give up just to get a loved one home from Iraq. Thank you to all those who serve to keep us safe in our beds at night. Thank you to those who die everyday and to tose never get to see their families. What they give up can never be matched by our efforts because they give so much.

People may not agree with the war but they need to support the soldiers and their famlies.

Thank you so much for recording such a wonderful song. This song should put the meaning of Christmas and everything that it means into perspective for everyone. I hope when people sit down to Christmas dinner with their families that they remember in their prayers all of those brave men and women that aren't home for Christmas. We should be keeping them in our hearts and prayers everyday and praying that they all come home safe. Thank you again. This song has really touched my heart.

The Best Christmas Song Ever!
by Tears
I heard this song at work yesterday, and I cannot tell you what it means to everyone here. Everyone knows someone in the military and it's heartbreaking to think of them overseas alone at Christmas. This song has touched so many people. To whoever the little girl is....you are such a special little girl and your daddy is a very lucky man to have someone in his life as special as you!

I live in Virginia and here we have a radio station called Eagle 97.3. This morning they played this song and next thing I knew Im at a stop light and tears are strolling down my face. I could not help but think about the times when my ex husband was called overseas during the holidays, my brother who spent his first two Christmas in the Air Force overseas and all my friends who are on the battlegroups who are over there fighting for our Freedom as we speak. We take so much for granted and yet here is this sweet little girl saying very basic words that make you realize all you have to be thankful for. I hope Santa brings all of our men and women of the armed forces home for Christmas, Thank you!!!

I feel for anyone who has loved ones they are going to miss this holiday season because they are away on deployment or for other reasons. My special thanks to our troops. This is an amazing song with an amazing story! They've been playing it here on radio for a couple of weeks and it makes me cry every time I hear it. Thanks, Rory, for sharing the behind-the-scenes story with us and for more concerned with the little girl's wellfare and the impact on those who hear the song than with the almight dollar. My local radio station is a huge supporter of St. Jude's and Capitol's involvement on that front just makes it that much more awesome. I'm going to buy it as soon as I get home and encourage everyone I know to do so as well! May everyone involved with this project and everyone who hears the song have a very blessed and very Merry Christmas! 12-20-07

Coming feom a military family I now what it is like not having my whole family together on christmas. This song is such a great song. I thank every man and woman in uniform serving our country and pray for all of them to return home safely. Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year.

Thank you

I had a Christmas wish like this over 50 years ago--mine came true. My Dad was in the Air Force and came home from TDY on Christmas Eve when I was three. I wish all the parents overseas could be with their children on Christmas but, I also know that's not going to happen. Growing up around the military, you would think I'd have gotten used to soldiers being deployed and then the wait for them to come home...but you never get used to it. I work with National Guard sodiers now & have watched many of them leave and, thankfully, return. I still cry every time. I heard this song driving home last night and almost had to pull off the road I was crying so hard. I just lost my Dad last month and have been having a hard time being "merry" this holiday season. This song really reminded me of that Christmas so many years ago. I think Dad was letting me know that he's still around & all I have to do is remember and he'll be here. Thank you so much for reminding me. And to all of the military men and women overseas: Godspeed and have a safe journey home to your families.

Wow. This song is absolutely incredible. My fiance just enlisted in the Army, and he'll be leaving January 3rd for basic training, and won't be back for a proper visit until May. I've been so terrified ever since he made this decision, but this song really made me feel like I'm not the only one. I can only pray that by the time our children are born, Dalton will be done in the Army so that my babies don't have to miss Daddy at Christmas. Thank you for this amazing, heartbreaking song.

More than Amazing!
by Tori
This song has touched more people than you'll ever know. Not only Military families, but those who simply just know a person overseas. I must say that everytime the song comes on the radio tears roll down my face. Being a Military Fiance, it really hit home with me. We can't all be with our loved ones this Christmas, and unfortunately I'm one of this crowd. Amazing song...absolutely amazing!

My husband will soon deploy for his 4th deployment. It never gets any easier. We were out Christmas shopping this weekend and I heard this song for the 1st time. I said "Stop turn it up". Of course i cried. I always try to stay strong, because once I break down then that makes him feel helpless. I do show my emotions at times but this time the tears were flowing. We have 2 daughters that are 10 and 5 year old. I have to stay strong for them too. Its very hard but then hearing songs like this sometimes does actually make it easier because you can hear others feeling your pain. God Bless all of you!

He has 2 beautiful kids, one is 4 months old and other is 4 years old. We are so damn proud of him. Thanks for the beautiful son and I pray for all, and I mean all, of those soldiers come home very soon!

Blessed, that is what we are to have fellow Americans who are putting their lives on the line for us everyday. Thanks you, and thank you to the families who's loved ones are over there. I think we all need to get on our knee and ask for their safe return home, where they belong. How can we get this to our major TV stations and to our president...to let him see what people are going through.

wow.

It'll last for ages, thank you
by Scott
I heard your song for the first time today while driving across Iowa. It was just the radio and myself, the radio playing (CHRISTmas music). Singing along and thinking about my 24 year old daughter who lives three hours away, and don't get to see as often as we would like to. She will be moving further away to the the east coast after the first of the new year. When the first phrase of the song "Dear Santa" came on with the little girls voice. I couldn't help myself but become focused on the song. I almost had to pull over to the side of the road as it caused my eyes to well up with tears as I had just been thinking about my daughter, and here this song sung by a beautiful young girl missing her father. I quickly said a quick Thank You Lord for this song. Then said to myself this song: "It'll last for ages to come" Thanks Rory & Tim

WOW!

The first time i heard this song, i could barely hold back tears! When i saw the video from YouTube, I sobbed. It is such a sad thing that so many kids have to have Christmas without a parent or parents. As a fifteen year old, i understand how hard it is to have a parent leave you and i really wish that all the troops could come home forever!

Very tender song. It made me cry.

I cry every time I hear it.
by Vicki R. - N. KY
It is a wonderful and touching song. It helps to keep things in perspective when some people tend to forget that there are so many men and women over there. May we never forget the service men and women, as well as the civilian firefighters and bomb squad members working over there daily to ensure that we all have a safe and happy holiday. May god bless them everyone and wish them all a safe return home soon!

From a thankful family
by Grateful
We were blessed with the miracle of daddy coming home a few weeks ago, hurt but home, luckily in time for christmas, it was his 3rd deployment, his 3rd missed year of his daughters lives. This song, it's beautiful, it puts things in perspective for many who dont understand, and it reminds us all to be thankful who have our soldiers home, and keep praying for those that have yet to return. From my little girls to you -Thank you.

I cannot tell you how much you song has touched me. I am a Marine wife of 10 years and there have been so many songs that have been made. This song by far has really touched a place in my heart like no other. My husband and I have 2 beautiful daughters together and have been very fortunate to have been able to spend every holiday together. This song has really made me realize just how fortunate I am. There are those who do not get that. I know that one day I may not be so lucky and this song will hit even closer to home!! Until then I can only say Thank you for making such a touching song!!

thank you SO MUCH!!
by cardzgurl
I really enjoyed this song and cry every time I hear it. My cousin is on his second tour and has a one year old son. Throughout the whole video I kept thinking of little Ty and his mom at home while Frank was serving our country. This song reminds me how real the war really is and that we really need to support what the soldiers are doing to protect our freedom.

Family
by Riley
My sister served in the army, over in Iraq. I was so sad for the two years she was there. I used to pray to God telling him to end this war and just bring her home. Christmas was the saddest time for me then. When I was little I would run into her room and just jump in the bed yelling, "Wake up, wake up. Santa came." She would tickle me and we would run and get our parents. Both of us would open the gifts and give our parents theirs. But when she was away, everything seemed less happy. No more staying up late just chatting about boys or troubles, watching scary movies and falling asleep in each other's bed because we didn't feel like getting up or I was just to scared. One year I wrote a letter to Santa in the middle of the summer, asking him to bring her home to us. I gave it to my mother and she put it in the mailbox. That year she came home. I was so happy that I started crying. I never asked for anything that Christmas. The one thing I wanted he had brought me.

Best Song I Ever Heard
by Sophie
That song made me cry. It just now came to me that some dads and moms will not be with their families for Christmas. I am ten years old and a girls dad in my class and former principal had to leave a few days ago and will be back in summer 2008. It touched me that such a little girl wants her dad to be home for Christmas. I LOVE THAT SONG.

How Precious
by Gradie
She sounds so much like my 5 year old grand daughter.. but the words so so much like my nephew..Praise the Lord he is home safely though last Christmas he wasn't able to come home!! God Bless and keep all our men and women safe until Santa can bring them home!!

The first time I heard it.
by Julie
i live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are a military town. With Air Force and Army being the most of the forces we have here. When our troops come home to Ft. Carson, it is on the news and we all get to cheer. I think this song strikes a nerve with all that hear it. Military town or not. We all want them home safely and pray for them and their families EVERY DAY! Society is becoming numb to what is going on over there because it is ALWAYS in the news for one thing or another. Songs or stories that can humanize it a little more are a good thing. Thanks!

Teary eyed
by Corey Haas
There has only been one other song that has made me cry. The first time I heard this song I almost had to pull over because my eyes were full of tears. It really makes me take for granted the fact that I get to spend the Christmas holidays with my whole family. God Bless our troops for everything they do for us. Thank you for everything. Come home soon!!!!

We watched this video with our high school band and choir class. Many of us cried, including some guys, and our teacher. It's a very emotional clip that hit many of us in the heart and we loved watching it. The ending clip was probably our favorite and it adds the true meaning of the song to the video.

I love this little girl
by Chris Miller
When I heard the intro on the radio, I had never even heard of the song. The moment I heard the little voice; I knew it was going it was going to go wrong! I think I made it almost to the chorus before I had to pull my van over because I needed windshield wipers on my eyes. I this country, have served, and ALWAYS support our troops and our President. These men and women are the absolute reason that we are able to share this with each other and lead our lives the way that we want to. To hear a small child remind us of the real sacrifice these people and their families endure is another testament of the strength of our great nation! Thank you!!!!

I cried!

I absolutely love this song. I could not help but cry when I heard it on the radio going to work this morning. I have spent 3 Christmas's alone in the last 5 years while my husband was deployed to Iraq, so I can really identify with the song's meaning. It is the most difficult time of year for the soldiers that are deployed and their families. I hope this song touches others as much as it has me. Thank you, and God Bless our military.

I was on my way home from work yesterday and I heard it for the first time. I had to pull over because I was crying and couldn't focus on the road. After it was done playing I sat there on side of the road and cried some more. I hope every one hears this beautiful song and realizes how many of our troops are fighting for our freedom and others. I wish they all could be home with their families for Christmas..Thank You troops, for keeping us safe from harm. You are the best.

by Nancy R. Hoglen
I heard this song on the radio this morning, but only caught part of it, when I got to work I searched the web to find it. When I found it and watched the song diary I was almost sobbing. The girl that works with me said, "what is wrong?" All I could do was motion for her to come to my computer, we watched it again and it had the same affect on her, patients were checking in and we were just standing there crying. I do not personally have a family member in the service, but I do have a 19month old little girland it means so much to me to know there are people fighting for her and me, and for the less fortunate around the world. Thank you for this song and the awareness it has brought and the awareness it has yet to bring, and thank you to all the men and women in the armed service in Iraq and anywhere else, stateside or on foreign soil. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

After hearing this song, I shared it with everyone I know. It makes me remember those fighting for our freedom but it also reminds me to pray for those families that are here without their loved ones. God Bless these families and their family members that are away from home this Christmas season and I pray that Your will be done in each and every life effected by this war. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen

I heard the song for the first time this morning on my way to work, I completly ruined my makeup and had to fix it when I got there. What a wonderful song and said so well from a childs heart! My husband is with the United States Coast Guard and was deployed from Febuary 04 until December 13th 2004 how lucky we were to have him home just in time for Christmas we missed him very much. I have had yellow ribbons on all our trees since the day he found out he was deployed and every year since a small American Flag and a yellow ribbon adorn my Christmas wreath... Thank you very much for a song that has touched so many hearts ..God Bless you

Touched My Heart
by Debbie
I heard this song on the radio today and it made me cry. Right before Thanksgiving, we learned that husband (a Sea Bee with the US Navy) would be shipping out to Afghanistan on December 17th. We have two children, one of whom will be celebrating his first birthday on Dec. 22 and all I wanted was for him to see his son turn 1. At the last minute, the orders got changed and now he's not leaving til Jan. 2. This *song* was my Christmas wish, and for me, at least, it came true. Thank you so much for this song!

Awesome Song!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas to all in the military and their families. God Bless and may God bring you home safely.

A great song
by Chelsea Field
My husband is in the military and was gone for Christmas last year. This song really touched me. I was driving down the road when I heard this song for the first time. I was crying so hard I had to pull over and stop. I have a 5 year old daughter (who was 4 last year) who knew her daddy was gone for Christmas and what he was doing. She absolutely loves the song. This song and little girl who sings it have touched our lives in a way she will never know. As a military family, we are so grateful for the work the soldiers do and the sacrifices they make. Military members and their families are special and I think about them every day. I pray for their safety and for peace for their families. This song is a great reminder of what the Holidays should really be about. It makes all the trivial day to day battles seem so small and unimportant in the grand scheme of reality. Thank you for making a song to remind all of us to be thankful for our families and our freedom. This song is amazing.

It is a hreat song and it made me cry. I don't have anyone in my family who is over there, but I hear about it all the time. It really made me realize how awful other kids might be feeling. It is a great song and I think it shows some of the feeling people go through. It touched my heart, and i'm sure that it will touch many others.

This song made me cry. It takes me back to when my husband was gone for six months in the navy. And you just want them home with you on holidays and all the time for that matter. I think that I cried more because it was a little girl singing the song.

Tearful reaction
by Ann
I heard this song for the first time this morning. I was just pulling into the post office to mail my first package to my husband who left the end of November. A friend had told me about it but as soon as I heard the first part of it, I started crying. My 4 year old was with me and she asked what we were waiting for and I told her I wanted to hear this song. She started listening and then asked "where is her daddy?" I told her that he was in Afganastan with her daddy. I am very thankful for my husband and his dedication to the Navy and for all the prayers and support that go out to the military men and women who are serving. We often forget about the ones left behind and how much it affects them, especailly the chldren. This song definately puts in a child's perspective. Thank you so much for this song. I can't wait till the next time I hear it on the radio even though it will bring me to tears again.

Bring Him Home
by Vicky Day
As soon as I heard this song I stopped what I was doing and ran over to the radio and turned it up. This song instantly touched my heart. Now everytime I hear it I quiet everyone around and turn the radio up, stop doing whatever I am doing and just listen. This song inspired me and I'll never take anything for granted, becuase I don't have to worry about anyone I love and care about over seas, but others do. I thank whoever wrote this song and whoever helped create it and turn it into what it is now.

It touched our hearts
by Cheri
Myself and two boys ages 11 and 17 heard it on the radio in the car tonight. My 17 year will join the Marines when he graduates. Someday this will be his daughter. Thanks for reminding us of the little ones and the service men and women serving our country this Christmas. I have been a soldier spending Christmas in Germany with no family. It is hard. Pray for our service men and women always.

Remembering Them STILL
by Stephanie Hastings
I really love emails and songs that are remebering the soldiers still. It seems like sometimes the world forgets that there are many still over seas and families are still feeling the loss of their loved ones gone. My husband is reinlisting so my heart goes to him and all of those who have made it an effort to continue making our contry safe and free.

Bring Him Home Santa

Dear Song trust, First, as a professional singer/writer/arranger (among other things), I applaud the companies name. A song can be an instrument of change and hope and words are the MOST powerful tool we have. As the Drive Time DJ (Mon.-Fri., 3pm-7pm, KMTS, which can be heard on the internet at KMTS.com)) on the #1 medium market station in Glenwood Springs, Colorado (about 40 minutes down valley from Aspen), the response I've gotten has been very touching and heartwarming. A friend of mine (Linda Gail Evans), who works in the Protocol office at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado turned me on to the song. We hadn't yet put into our playlist but, I'm VERY pleased we now have. I've given many, many hours of time as a performer to various organizations and am pleased St. Jude's will be the recipient of some of the CD sales. A tip of the Stetson to Capital and all who have gotten behind this project and the artwork is PERFECT. Namaste', Bob Heart P.S. The story of the little girl singer brought tears to my eyes.

Beautiful
by Krystal Thompson
What a beautiful song. I heard it on the radio yesterday while driving home and had to pull over to fight off the tears. My fiance is on his 12th month in Iraq and will be there for 15 and this song just hit me very hard. I don't have any kids yet but I can't even imagine how hard that would be. God Bless our Troops!!

Our troops
by Doris
This song really speaks truth to all of us we should not forget the sacrifice our men and women are making for us along with their families. How greatful I am to know that we have such hero's on our side willing to give of themselves in this way. It makes me so proud. I have one sone who spent two tours of dutie in Iraq, and another who has just completed boot camp and will be going for combat training in Jan. 2008 when he has completed this training he also will go to Iraq. And even though I know the danger involved with their decission. I am so proud of my sons for being willing to sacrifice for their county and fellow man. We must not forget or let our troops down. We must remember to always support our troops, pray for them and their families.

i almost cried.
by jordan griffin
i was sitting on the bus this morning on the way to school, and this song came on the radio, and at the beginning i was just thinking 'oh, this is cute,' and i was kinda staring out the window. but i started actually listening to the lyrics about halfway through, and it was... way way cute. i started thinking about what all these families must be going through, and nobody really knows unless they have a daddy or a husband in the war. and by the end my nose was burning, and i was about ready to cry. i love this song.

The Real Reason

navy wife and navy mom
by patti brock in alabama
I heard the song for the first time this morning. it really hit home.I am a wife of a retired navy chief and there have been times when my husband was out to sea for christmas. we had a small son at the time and your song reminded me of the time that all he wanted for christmas that year was his dad to come home or maybe hit a port and be able to call home. my husband was on a submarine at the time so there was no letters home or phone calls unless he hit a port. when my son was ten he got a little sister. and my husband retired. the son grew up and his sister thinks of him as a third parent. he inlisted in the navy and rides submarines just like his dad. This year for christmas all my daughter wants is to see her bubba. It has been a year since she was able to see him. She misses him so. She doesn't know it but her wish may come true. Shane is planning a trip home for the holiday. love to you all for touching my family with your song. loved it.. bless you

Bring him home!
by Lynn M.
God Bless the child that sang this song! My best friend has a son over there now and we pray for his safe return daily. I will send this beautiful song to her and I know Deb will cry her eyes out but she will bless this song as well. God bless all the troops over there trying to bring peace to the world. Merry Christmas! Lynn

NEVER STOP!
by Posha
This song means so much to so many. My family has served in the military every generation going back to the civil war, but I am unable to serve because of medical reasons. I have always regretted that, but tried to raise my children to love the military. My 15 yr. old daughter is determined to pick the torch up and enlist her junior year when she turns 17. She plans to do basic over the summer and AIT during a break Senior year. I could not be prouder. And some year I expect to sing this for her and that will be a comfort to us, you know. I have a friend to whom she is very close who is deploying in January for his 3rd tour. This song touches both of us deeply. We know that next year we will be singing this for him and his wife and sons. I have read all of the comments, the entire diary and will continue to read to see how the song grows, AND IT WILL GROW. Some people I have talked to misunderstood the meaning of the song and also thought it was anti-war, but having seen where the song came from, I was able to help them see that it was very supportive of the job out troops are doing and they love it even more, now. I played it for my daughters and husband, too. My son thinks it's sad the the little girl's daddy can't be home for Christmas. He remembers last month when we had to go to Illinois for a family reunion for Thanksgiving and his daddy had to stay in Oklahoma and work. He cried because he was so worried about his daddy being alone for the holiday and begged me to go get daddy for Thanksgiving, so he said that the little girl must be MORE sad with her daddy gone for CHRISTMAS. So please understand what you have all done. You bring much needed awareness, comfort and empathy to our friends, loved ones and soldiers. Never stop doing God's work and hug that little angel of your friend's. She is the voice of this little miracle and some day she'll understand that she did so much more than just sing a song one day. (I hope she gets to read all of this, too, the diary, comments, everything. Print it for her and store the copy away for when she's older.) THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Posha G. Tulsa, OK

Prayer
by Melissa Monaghan
I have a sister and brother in law that have the chance at any time to be deployed and we are terrified. We are thankful that this year we can cherish our Christmas with them not knowing if we will be able to next year. We pray for all the troops and their families that they have left behind for all of us. I cry everytime I hear the song and thank God that we don't have to ask santa to bring them home this year. But pray that some child will get their wish and santa will bring their daddy and/or mommy home on his sleigh. Our thoughts and prayers are out to all. Love and thanks to you.

Hits Home
by Stephanie
This song is a tear jerker. I cried when I heard it this morning. Anyone who has a loved one in the military can definitely relate to this song. My husband is in the Navy and was deployed overseas but is now home. Even though I maybe spending Christmas with him this year, in which I am very grateful, but I also think of all those other men and women who are still over there who will be spending Christmas without their "real families". It is very disheartening. This song needs to be played more on the radio and sent to everyone; friends and family of our US service persons. Happy Holidays to all and yes BRING THEM ALL HOME!!!!!!

POWERFULL
by C.R.GOLAY
WE OFTEN FORGET ABOUT OUR COUNTRIES CHILDREN IN A TIME OF CRISISS. WE OVERLOOK THAT THEY DONT UNDER STAND WHAT WAR IS. ALL THEY KNOW IS THAT THEIR DADDY OR MOMMY IS GONE, AND THEY DONT KNOW WHEN OR EVEN IS THEY WILL COME HOME.WE ALL KNOW HOW DIVORSE CAN BE ON A CHILD, BUT WHO CAN SAY WHAT GOES THROUGH A CHILDS MIND IF THEIR PARENT IS AT WAR. THIS SONG GIVES IT TO US. DONT FORGET WHAT THE CHILDREN OF OUR TROOPS ARE GOING THROUGH THIS TIME OF YEAR. OUR SOLDIERS NEED OUR SUPPORT AND SO DO THEIR FAMILIES!

Overflowing with Tears

My Husband has served in the Air Force for 18 years & we have a 5 year old daughter. This song really hits home. We are lucky that Daddy will be home for Christmas this year. My Brother serves full time in the Army National Guard. He missed the birth of his 1st daughter due to a deployment to Iraq. We have recently learned that he will be leaving soon for a 2nd tour in Iraq and will miss the birth of his 2nd child. God Bless our troops and the families left behind to hold everything together!

Heard first time this morning.....
by Kim
My fiancee is in the Army and has been gone since July 23. He was originally scheduled to return Oct 2008 but he's been told that he could come home as early as July. We found out I was pregnant July 14. I cried like a baby this morning when I heard this song............and the first thing I did when I got to work was email him about it. I think it's awesome. Reminds everyone that the soldier's aren't the only ones who suffer when they are deployed.

Bring Him Home
by L. Caffrey
From the mother of a United States Marine this is a so very powerful song. Even though I am lucky enough to be having my Marine home for Christmas there are so many others that aren't. Until they all come home safely... Thank you so very much.
